Keeping hope that the cloud will pass, 2024
She loves colors - Laurie George
Oil pastel on paper
29.7 x 42 cm
Sold with solid wood frame and mat (40 x 50 cm)
This oil pastel drawing depicts a father and son sitting on the edge of a cliff, exaggeratedly rounded to recall the shape of the globe and evoke the world. Together, they contemplate the sky where a cloud temporarily hides the sun, a symbol of the challenges and trials that the world is currently going through.
Through this drawing, I wanted to convey a message of resilience: even in the face of the worst difficulties, we must not give up. The sun, although hidden, is always present, ready to reappear. It is an invitation to keep hope, to believe that the best is always possible, even when everything seems dark.
